Editorial policy
The standards used to select, research, review and update practical Sydney content without letting commercial links dictate conclusions.
This policy explains how Sydney.tips decides what to publish and how practical claims are kept useful, proportionate and traceable.
Topic selection
Topics are chosen for real planning value: common visitor decisions, confusing journeys, changing access conditions and gaps between broad inspiration and practical action. Search popularity may reveal a need, but it does not replace editorial judgement.
Research and review
Primary and authoritative sources are preferred. Pages distinguish stable context from details that should be checked on the day. A facts-checked date changes only after the practical claims have been reviewed; a modified date changes only after a meaningful content edit.
Corrections and commercial separation
Credible corrections are assessed against current evidence and fixed without hiding the nature of the change. Affiliate availability does not decide whether a place is included, excluded or recommended. Commercial modules are labelled and kept separate from editorial conclusions.
